Coach Taylor is from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she grew up playing basketball and volleyball. She played volleyball a total of 8 years for school and various clubs as a setter and defensive specialist. She went on to play at a collegiate level for Southwestern Christian University as a setter. She graduated from Southern Nazarene University with an Elementary Education degree and is currently in her 3rd year of teaching as a 4th grade Reading & Social Studies teacher for El Reno Public Schools.
Emilee has been a volleyball coach of all ages for a total of seven years. Four seasons of school ball and six seasons as a coach club, three being with the OKC Heat. She coached 14’s and 16’s teams for Creek Volleyball Club(2017-2018), the 16’s team for Trinity Volleyball Club(2018-2019), and three seasons for OKC Heat 15-Black, 16-Black, and 17/18’s Black. She coached two school seasons for the OKC Knights JV/Varsity teams and currently is the assistant junior-high coach for El Reno Public Schools where both of her teams have been successful in being undefeated at times throughout her seasons.
Coach Taylor’s advice to players: Always play this game with passion and heart. You never know when it’s your last, so give 100% and lay it all on the court. Remember the importance of teamwork and always hold close the life lessons you learn from this game.
 This club season Emilee is taking on a new role for the OKC Heat as the Leadership/Organizational director. She is super excited to be a part of our administrative team and can’t wait to get this season started and watch our athletes bring the Heat!
