Isabel Murphy

Coach Murphy brings a proven track record of success and a passion for developing young athletes both on and off the court. She has coached with OKC Heat for the past four seasons, leading her teams to multiple tournament championships while helping players grow in their skills, confidence, and understanding of the game.

Her coaching career began at Sequoyah Middle School, where she quickly made an impact. In 2022, Coach Murphy led Sequoyah to a perfect 16–0 season and a Conference Championship, the program’s first undefeated season since 2017. She has continued to build on that success through multiple strong seasons with the Sequoyah program.

Born and raised in Edmond, Coach Murphy grew up in a volleyball household. She played both volleyball and softball before focusing on softball after her freshman year, but volleyball remained a constant through years of traveling to watch her sister compete and continuing to learn the game.

Coach Murphy brings energy, competitiveness, and a genuine commitment to her athletes. When she’s not in the gym, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and taking her two dogs along whenever she can.
